How do I apply to adopt one of your rescue dogs?
-
Online Adoption Application: The first step is to complete the general information adoption form.
-
Virtual Home Tour: Email us your virtual home tour. The tour can be easily done by sending us a few photos or videos of your home, especially the areas where your new pet will spend most of their time. This step is crucial for us to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our rescue dogs.
-
Submit Records: Email us a recent copy of wellness records for any current household pet. The veterinary records are important to confirm that all pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and have been receiving proper care.

Age Requirement: Adopters must be 18 years or older to apply. This ensures that the individual adopting is legally responsible for the care and well-being of the pet.

Can I adopt if I have young children?
Generally, we do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6 to ensure the safety and well-being of both the child and the dog. However, we do make exceptions in certain cases, especially if the children have experience being around animals and depending on the size and temperament of the dog being adopted. Each situation is evaluated individually to ensure the best match for both the family and the dog.
Can I foster to adopt a dog?
At this time, we do not offer a foster-to-adopt program. However, if an adopted dog isn’t the right fit, we do allow returns within 7 days for a full refund, minus any additional donation made beyond the adoption fee. This policy ensures that both the dog and the adopter find the best possible match.
Do I need to pick up my adopted dog in person?
Yes, we require adopters to travel in person to pick up their new companion. Transport services are only offered for hard-to-place dogs, such as seniors or dogs with significant medical needs, and an additional fee will apply in these cases.
What is included in the adoption fee?
-
Our adoption fee covers comprehensive veterinary care to ensure that each dog is healthy and ready for their new home. This includes spaying/neutering, dental care, vaccinations, heartworm testing and prevention, fecal tests, de-worming, thorough examinations, ear cleaning, toenail trims, microchipping, and professional grooming. We partner with trusted local veterinary clinics to provide these services, as we do not have an in-house vet.
-
Our adoption fees are set to reflect the high level of care each dog receives and to help offset the costs associated with the many severe medical cases we take in. These fees enable us to continue our mission of rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in need, ensuring that they have the best possible start in their new homes.
